Laidlaw hopes for tough outing

New Zealand 7s coach Greg Laidlaw says switching the Sydney tournament to three days will become interesting for all the teams.

Laidlaw says, knowing the challenge they have to face in the pool games, the three days of competition will give them little more break.

“It’s probably a different tournament and its three days. We play one game on day one and two games on day two. I think playing Fiji, Samoa and Russia on the same group is quite exciting. It’s a great challenge to us to try and build that consistency and performance.”
