The Labasa football side will work on its defensive lapses ahead of the Courts Inter District Championship semi-final clash against Nadi this afternoon.
The Babasiga Lions raced to an early 3-0 lead in the final pool game against Nadroga on Thursday before the Stallions staged a dramatic comeback to eventually win the match 4-3.
Labasa rep, Edwin Shayam says the side has been working on improving its defensive display to avoid a repeat performance against Nadi.
“We lost focus in the second half, that’s all I can say. Also in attack, we were not coming back to defend, that’s where the loophole was, so we lost by 4-3.”
Nadi meets Labasa in the first semi-final at 5pm today at Govind Park while Ba takes on Suva at 7pm.
