Labasa coach Bal Sanju Reddy says, he had confidence in the boys coming into the match.

“I have faith in my boys actually because playing our first game in Labasa we had the advantage but I know Lautoka will come out very hard especially with their experienced players and their home ground advantage but I salute the team for getting the glory to Labasa.”

Labasa goal keeper, Akuila Mateisuva says winning against host Lautoka was not easy.

He says the game got tougher after Ilisoni Logaivou and Ashnil Raju were red carded.

“Nine men to play against the champion of Fiji and it’s was a great achievement for the boys since there’s a lot of young players and this is the first CVC title and we deserve the well done victory.”

Meanwhile, Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy says they had opportunities but failed to capitalize.

“I think we should work on few areas but overall we have a lot of possessions but unfortunately we couldn’t score. We had a lot of chances so we need to work on our finishing.”

Labasa claimed its third CVC title last night.

They first won in 1992 and then in 2007.
