Labasa soccer secretary, Satishwar Chand says players will have to fight for the place in the squad as the team will only be travelling with 18 players for the 2012 Vodafone Fiji FACT.
Chand says they have already named their 22 member squad however; best 18 will be confirmed later.
“The reason is that we are in the interim and we don’t want to spend money unnecessarily so that when we come back we have money left for travelling for other away games”.
Labasa will play their opening match against Tavua in the second round of the Fiji FACT tournament.
In other Fiji FACT matches this week, Suva will play Nadi at 12.30pm on Sunday, Nadroga versus Tavua at 11am, Ba versus Navua at 2pm and Lautoka versus Rewa at 3.30pm.
