Labasa ties at 1-all against Ba

The Labasa football team ended its game against Ba at 1-all in the last match of Day Two of the Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Edwin Shayam puts Labasa into 1-0 lead in the 13th minute of play against Ba where they led at halftime.

Malakai Tiwa then equalises for Ba in the last minute of play.

Labasa Coach Anand Sami says it was disappointing when they gave the chance to Ba in the last seconds of play.

“Looking at the match we should have three points and there’s no two ways about it and they came back in the last seconds where we gave them chance and its quite disappointing.”

Ba team manager, Arvin Singh says it was tough game.

“It was a very good and a tough match and it’s the best game of today and both teams played a wonderful soccer and fast phase soccer.”

In other matches, Dreketi held Rewa nil-all also Lautoka ended its game at nil-all against Nadi while Suva beat Tavua 1-nil.

Tomorrow, Lautoka will take on Tavua at 11am, Ba to meet Dreketi at 1pm, Nadi to battle Suva at 3pm while Rewa will then play Labasa at 5pm.
