The Labasa football side today received a timely boost ahead of the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants this weekend.
Lincoln Refrigeration Limited handed over a cheque for $5,000 ahead of the tournament.
Labasa football team treasurer Hamzah Hussein says its sponsorship will help in the side’s preparation as they target to win the BOG title at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
“This sponsorship will support us in the travelling and all and Labasa Football team is young and durable. We’ve got an average age of 23 years old so we’ve got a young team all players are injury free and the trainings are held 3 times a day and the players are doing well and coping well.”
Labasa begins its BOG campaign against Ba at 8 pm at Churchill Park on Friday.
In the other matches on the same day, Suva faces Rewa at 1.30pm, Nadi plays Dreketi at 3.30pm and Lautoka meets Tavua at 6 pm.
