The Labasa football side was the first team to register a win in the 2015 INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament, with a 2-0 victory over Nadroga at Ratu Cakobau Park.

The Babasiga Lions looked impressive in their first outing in the tournament with a goal each to Taione Kerevanua and Christopher Wasasala.

The side suffered a setback though, with skipper, Taniela Waqa possibly sitting out their next clash against hosts Rewa, after receiving two yellow cards.

The final match on Day One is now underway between defending champions, Rewa and Ba.
