The Labasa football side ended Lautoka’s unbeaten run in the Vodafone Premier League defeating the host 2-nil at Churchill Park today.

The Babasiga Lions led one nil after an own goal from Kolinio Sivoki.

Labasa striker Christopher Wasasala then scored their second goal in the dying minutes of the second half to seal the game.

Despite the loss, Lautoka remains on top of the VPL table with 24 points, Suva is in second place with 16 points while Ba and Labasa are in third position with 15 points each.

Meanwhile in the other match played earlier today, Nadi thumped Dreketi 3-1 and in the Vodafone Senior play-off Nasinu beat Lami by a goal.
