The mother of Wallabies centre, Tevita Kuridrani is overwhelmed at her son’s performance throughout the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Dr. Litiana Kuridrani says she is looking forward to watching her son compete in the final against New Zealand this weekend and was surprised when told that Tevita will be the third Fijian player to feature in a World Cup final.

Despite work commitments preventing Dr. Litiana from joining her husband and children in England to watch Tevita, she finds console whenever he calls her each night since the tournament began last month.

“When we came he just said…I thank god for giving me the strength and the confidence to be performing at that level. So even though I’m out here and he is in London we still communicate, every evening he calls.”

Kuridrani has earned 40 international Test caps for the Wallabies since making his debut in 2013 and is expected to be named in the starting line-up for the World Cup final against the All Blacks on Sunday.
