Fiji-born centre, Tevita Kuridrani scored one of the Brumbies seven tries to hammer the Hurricanes 52-10 in the opening round of the Super Rugby competition in Canberra last night.
The Brumbies sent out an early warning to other teams with a clinical display led by Wallabies stars, Stephen Moore, David Pocock, Kuridrani and Scott Fardy.
Kuridrani and fellow Fijian winger, Henry Speight had put up their game jerseys on auction to raise funds for the Tropical Cyclone Winston relief efforts.
Meanwhile in other games in the first round, Waisake Naholo scored a try for the Highlanders but it was not enough as the defending champions lost to the Blues 33-31 while the Jaguars of Argentina beat the Cheetahs 34-33.
Today Nemani Nadolo and the Crusaders host the Chiefs at 6:35pm, the Waratahs meet the Reds at 8:40pm and the Western Force clash with the Melbourne Rebels at 10:50pm.
