Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber has confirmed, forward Semi Kunatani will join the team for the Paris tournament this weekend.
Kunatani was part of the side in Hong Kong 7S and the Commonwealth Games in April.
Baber says with Josua Tuisova and Semi Radradra departing for Fiji after London 7s, Kunatani will bring the much-needed experience in the team.
“Semi Kunatani will join us and I mean that will be a boost for us. He played for us in the Commonwealth Games and its good to have him back but obviously, the players who are with us here will be part of the squad as well.”
The Fiji 7s is pooled with New Zealand, Kenya and Samoa.
They will play Samoa in its first pool match at 8.50pm on Saturday and then faces Kenya at 11.46pm.
Fiji plays its final pool match at a 5.14am on Sunday.
The cup quarterfinal will kick off at 8.13pm, semi-finals will be at 12.03am on next Monday and the final is scheduled for 4.54am.
