Chess Candidate Master, Manoj Kumar is the favorite to win the National Open Chess Championship.

The school teacher has been in fine form this year and has so far remained unbeaten after two days of competition.

The tournament also features players from Philippines, Germany, Solomon Islands and Palau.

The final round of competition will be held on Wednesday and will be followed by the awards ceremony for place-getters.
