Krishna to boost national side

November 8, 2015 11:05 pm

The Vodafone Fiji football side is looking forward to the arrival of Roy Krishna for the second friendly international match against Vanuatu in Port Vila tomorrow.

Krishna missed the first match between the two side over the weekend, which ended in a 1-all draw, due to club commitments with the Wellington Phoenix.

Fiji Football Association Vice-President Tarunesh Reddy says Krishna, who will co-captain the side with Alvin Singh will play a vital role in the team’s attack.

“Definitely, when Roy will be part of the team, it’s going to be a different ball game. The boys will get more confident and it should be a very good game when he comes in.”

Krishna set up Wellington Phoenix’ lone goal last night in the 1-all draw against Central Coast Mariners in the A-League competition.

Fiji will take on Vanuatu in the second and final match of its friendly international tour at 5pm tomorrow at Port Vila Stadium.
