Krishna notches 100 games for Phoenix

Fijian-wonder boy Roy Krishna had notched his 100 games for the Wellington Phoenix last night.

Krishna signed for the Phoenix in the year 2014.

He also sits on the tip of the club’s all-time goal scoring record, topping of the list with 34.

The 31-year-old says during his first month in New Zealand, he spent most of his time crying alone in his room.

He says after training he would go to his room to call home and plead to his mom to come home and his father would tell him that his destiny lay elsewhere.

NZ Herald reports, Krishna has been a fixture in the first team, thrilling home fans with a potent – almost irresistible – combination of searing pace, limitless energy, deceptive strength and powerful shooting.
