Fijian football wonder boy Roy Krishna is eager to represent his home country as they take on the Wellington Phoenix, later this week.

Krishna, who plays for the Phoenix, arrived in the country last night and will be featuring for the Fijian senior team.

The 28-year-old lad from Labasa says the play-offs will be a great development for the national side.

“It’s a pre-season, so you know there’s still alot to be done in this season and we have to work hard to get our fitness back and it’s a challenge and hopefully the boys in camp is looking forward for the game cause it’s a big opportunity for them as well to prove to coaches that they can play at international level and hopefully some of them can get a contract.”

Krishna is likely to partner with Osea Vakatalesau at striker for the national team.
