Krishna and United win again

Roy Krishna played a key role as Waitakere United beat Hawkes Bay United 3-1 in the New Zealand Football League yesterday.

Krishna was the architect of a number of chances for United and was also involved in the third goal.

The win sees Waitakere move to the top of the points table with 16 points, one ahead of Canterbury United.

Meanwhile, on the local front, the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National League gets underway this weekend.

Games scheduled for Saturday sees Savusavu taking on Rewa at 1.30pm at Subrail Park.

At the same venue at 3pm, Labasa battles Navua.

At Churchill Park, Lautoka plays Tavua at 1pm before Nadroga and Nadi do battle at 3pm.

On Sunday, Savusavu plays Navua at 1.30pm before Labasa and Rewa clash at 3.30pm. These two matches are at Subrail Park.

In the Pillay Garments CVC, Ba and Suva clash at 4pm at Govind Park on Sunday.
