Koroi scores as Otago wins Rainfurly Shield

Fijian born Joketani Koroi scored a try as he helped Otago claimed the Rainfurly Shield by beating Waikato 23 – 19.

Koroi was impressive in the match as he made some strong carries on to the Waikato defensive line.

Other Fijian players in the team includes Naulia Dawai, Jona Nareki and Vilimoni Koroi.

Meanwhile, Koroi moved to New Zealand with his family when he was four.

While growing up in New Zealand the 25-year-old also played age group rugby alongside Ardie Savea and Vaea Fifita.

In other ITM cup results, Canterbury beat Counties Manukau 19 – 14 while Bay of Plenty defeated Northland 38 – 35.
