Karate Fiji gets cash boost

Karate Fiji has become the latest recipient of assistance by the Fiji Sports Commission.
The commission has come on board to help Karate Fiji with the hosting of the 2014 Oceania Championships and preparation costs for the 2014 World Senior Championships.
The first cheque totalled $23,050 was for the two events. The second cheque for a further $3250 was allocated to assist Karate Fiji with the engagement of Sensei Tony Hails from Australia to assist with their development program and national team members.
Commission chief executive Peter Mazey says they are delighted to see Karate Fiji hosting the upcoming Oceania Championships and wished them all the best for their preparations for the 2014 World Championships.
