Kalou makes sacrifice to don the white jersey

20-year-old Tevita Kalou is making all the sacrifices to make the final cut in the Fiji under 23 Rugby League team that will compete at the 2018 Rugby League Commonwealth Championship in May.

The USP Rugby league forward says he is trying his luck to impress the national selectors.

“Preparation for this year’s season started earlier on December before Christmas we have been through a lot of things training is not easy it’s very tough who knows I want to play in the Residents team this year and hopefully in the May test hoping for the best.”

Kalou who was named the best player for USP clubs also represented Suva Eagles in the Inter-zone competition last year.

The Fiji National Rugby League season will begin on March 3rd.
