Jasper and Marist dominate games

Jasper Williams High School have regained the lead in the girls division of the Coca Cola Games.

They have 4 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze while defending champions, Adi Cakobau School are second with 4 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze.

Suva Grammar is in third place after a gold medal finish by Suliana Gusuivalu in the senior girls 200m final.

Marist Brothers High School continue to dominate the boys division with 11 gold and 5 silver and 1 bronze.

Suva Grammar has 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.

Completing the top 5 schools in the boys division is Ratu Kadavulevu (2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze), Xavier (1 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze) and Tavua College (1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze).

St Bedes Secondary’ Benaminio Maravu has won the 200m senior boys final ahead of Waisake Rasalala of Sila Central and Sosiceni Tamani of Suva Grammar.

Next up is the 4×100m finals with the 4×400m races set to end the 2012 games.
