The Fijiana 15’s side were thrashed 55-nil by Japan in their second match of the Asia/Oceania regional qualification tournament for Women’s Rugby World Cup next year.
This win for the Sakura 15’s means Fiji’s dream of playing in the World Cup is over.
Fijiana were no match for Japan as they succumbed to their second heavy loss in the space of four days.
Japan, who ran in eight tries in a ruthless display of finishing, will now face Hong Kong in the tournament’s final on Saturday.
Japan and Hong Kong have qualified for the World Cup which will be held in Ireland next year.
