Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and World Rugby Chairman Sir Bill Beaumont believe that Japan is perfectly placed to host the best-ever Rugby World Cup.
With teams receiving incredible welcomes, Prime Minister Abe says rugby fever will sweep Japan as they will be the most welcoming of hosts to the world’s top rugby players and supporters.
He adds that the Webb Ellis Cup is a symbol of strength, hard work and courage and he hopes that Japan could be its new home for it.
Japan will play the opening game of the Rugby World Cup against Russia at 10.45pm next Friday.
