Issa out of Auckland City team for OCL

April 9, 2015 4:42 am

The Auckland City football side has suffered a major setback with striker Sanni Issa not part of the side for the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League.

Issa, who joined the Navy Blues this season, is believed still have visa issues and has stayed back in New Zealand.

City coach Ramon Tribulietx says it is a very sad situation for Sanni as his inclusion would have been influential as Issa has played here before.

The reigning champions have included the likes of veteran Ivan Vicelich, All Whites striker Ryan De Vries, goalkeeper Tamati Williams, and OFC Champions League veterans Darren White, Andrew Milne, Adam McGeorge and Daewook Kim.

Meanwhile, the competition gets underway on Saturday in the capital, where Suva takes on Auckland City at 4.30pm, while at 7pm, Amicale from Vanuatu plays Solomon Islands club, Western United.

In Ba on the same day, AS Pirae meets Lupe Ole Soaga at 4.30 and Ba clashes with Gaitcha at 7pm.

You can catch the live commentary of the Suva-Auckland City from 4.30pm, while the Ba-Gaitcha with voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart will air from 7pm.

Both games will be on Radio Fiji 2.
