Isles and Baker to boost USA 7s team

The USA 7s team has produced two of the fastest men on the World Rugby Sevens Series circuit to date.

Speedsters Carlin Isles and Perry Baker will once again carry the hopes of the side in the Sydney 7s from tomorrow.

Isles says its always been great playing alongside Baker.

“Perry is a phenomenal athlete and rugby player and is IQ is very high but he also pushes me too so its good to have another winger as fast as him as well.”

Baker who was also named a World Rugby Sevens Player of the year for last season, says he still has the gas to score more tries.

“I’m older now, I was racing when I was on my prime. I’m 31 now and I was on my prime like I was 26, I was faster.”

USA is pooled with Australia, Scotland and Canada.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways mens 7s side is pooled with New Zealand, Samoa and Russia.

They kick off their campaign against Samoa at 8.28pm tomorrow.

The side then plays Russia at 5.09pm on Saturday before facing New Zealand at 8.42pm.

The Cup quarter-final kicks off at 12.28pm on Sunday, semi-final begins at 6.36pm and the final is schedule for 9.48pm.
