IRB works on Pacific plan

The International Rugby Board is working on a development plans to change the way the rugby is being played amongst youngsters in the Pacific.

IRB Oceania General Manager William Glenwright says there is a need to redefine the approach to development to ensure majority of the kids get the chance to play the game.

He says they want to end the cycle of where only a lucky few, who make school teams, get to play rugby.

There are plans to bring in experts from the region and around the world for a week to re-calibrate IRB’s approach to development.
