Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has appealed to the countries part of the European Commission Seminar and Sports Diplomacy to invest in sport in the developing countries like Fiji.

In his opening speech during the seminar, Bainimarama says Fiji’s biggest achievement at the Olympic Games is the result of what a developing country can do with limited resources.

He says that currently, the government is making it a priority to upgrade sporting facilities in the rural communities.

He adds that if they do get the assistant it will be a very valuable development tool.
