Ibrahimovic sends Beckham Ikea instagram challenge

July 7, 2018 12:31 am

Sweden’s record goal-scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic has challenged the ex-England skipper and former team-mate David Beckham to a wager before tomorrow’s World Cup quarter-final between the two sides.

According to BBC Sports, Ibrahimovic told Beckham that he will buy him dinner wherever he wants in the world if England win. But if Sweden wins Beckham has to buy him whatever he wants from Ikea.

IKEA is a Swedish-founded multinational group that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories.

However, Beckham has responded with a twist saying if Sweden wins, he will personally take Ibrahimovic to Ikea and buy him whatever he needs for his new mansion in LA.

But if England wins, he wants him to come with him to watch an England game at Wembley, wearing an England shirt and enjoy fish and chips at halftime.

England plays Sweden at 2am tomorrow while Russia faces Croatia four hours later.

The winner of these matches will face each other in the second semi-final.

Earlier this morning, France beat Uruguay 2-nil in the first quarter final while Belgium upset Brazil 2-1.

Both teams will clash in the first semi-final next Wednesday.

The final is scheduled for 16th of this month at 3am.
