More than a thousand runners have turned up for the 2016 Suva Marathon.

The organizers were expecting close to 1000 runners and have been overwhelmed with the turn out.

The full marathon started at six this morning while the team events start this hour.

Suva Marathon Organizing Committee Vice Chair, Sandeep Narayan says they were lucky to have good weather for the event as there was no rain and it wasn’t too hot either.
