As the betting house in the country prepares for the biggest event in their calendar, excitement is building for the 2019 Melbourne Cup.

Grants Betting General Manager Vijendra Sundar says the hype is building for punters in the country.

Sundar says their branches across the country will be able to facilitate new punters on how to place bets and learning of the system.

Sundar adds this is the race that stops the nation, and the Grants betting house are ready for this year’s Melbourne Cup.

“Well as you know Melbourne Cup is just around the corner, it’s on Tuesday 5th November at 4pm. Grants Betting we are ready to roll for the cup and most of our branches are ready to take bets. At the moment there’s 34 horses on the field but it will be reduced to 24 tomorrow night (Saturday).”

Cross Counter won the 2018 Melbourne Cup competition.

The final 24 horses competing are yet to be confirmed.
