Highlanders to host Chiefs at ANZ Stadium

The Fijian fans have welcomed the news of Highlanders rugby team hosting its Super Rugby game in Fiji.

The Landers plays Chiefs on Saturday, the 30th June, 7.35pm at ANZ Stadium in Suva.

FBC Sports spoke to few fans on the street who say they are eagerly waiting to see Fiji born, All Blacks wing Waisake Naholo play in Fiji.

“I only watch them on TV and now I want to watch them here when they come to Fiji.”

“It’s good for the local to watch the top match and cheer for their favorite team.”

“It’s a good idea, as I’m from Sydney we normally come and watch the game here and it’s good for Fiji and the Fijian rugby.”

Meanwhile, Fiji Sports Council and Super Rugby Steering Committee Chair, Litiana Loabuka says without the help of the state nothing would have been possible.

“We thank the government for ensuring that our fans could witness the top class match and without their backing nothing would have been possible.”

The tickets for the match will go on sale from the 10th of next month.
