High number of Fijians in Super Rugby 2016

A record 17 Fijian players will compete in the 2016 Super Rugby season.

The Crusaders will have four Fijian players in Nemani Nadolo, Ben Volavola, Alex Hodgeman and Jone Macilai.

Defending champions, the Highlanders have retained speedsters, Waisake Naholo and Patrick Osborne while Tevita Kuridrani and Henry Speight will feature again for the Brumbies.

The Queensland Reds will have the services of Samu Kerevi, Chris Kuridrani and rugby league convert, Etonia Nabuli.

Japan’s Rugby World Cup captain, Michael Leitch remains with the Chiefs for another season as will center, Setareki Tamanivalu.

Western Force retains Junior Rasolea, who will be joined by new recruit, Semisi Masirewa.

Former Fiji Under-20 rep, Michael Little will feature for the Auckland Blues while winger, Sefanaia Naivalu will play for the Rebels.

The 2016 Super Rugby season gets underway on 26th February and two new teams will be joining the competition; one from Argentina and one from Japan.
