Heavy rains cancel cricket games

Sudden heavy rains in Suva this morning forced the cancellation of two LICI Cricket Fiji Easter matches at Albert Park today.

Scheduled to start at 1.30pm was the Lakeba versus Western Invitation followed by the Suva Crusaders were to play Komo.

Cricket Fiji general manager, Jon Symonds says the cancelled matches will be played tomorrow – weather permitting.

Meanwhile in games completed this morning, Suva Warriors cricketer, Jo Dabea maintains his impressive form, going 32 not out in their match against Kabara.

The Warriors were able to overcome Kabara with 162 runs for 9 wickets to win by 113 runs.

Kabara were all out at 39 runs.

In the only other match of the day, Moce overpowered Oneata, with 179 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Oneata was all out with 57 runs in 14 overs with Moce winning by 122 runs.

Afternoon matches were called off due to heavy rain.
