Heat on Nadi to defend FACT title

Vodafone Fiji FACT defending champions, Nadi are feeling the heat as the tournament kicks starts this weekend.

Nadi takes on Nadroga in its first pool match on Sunday.

Nadi Football President Navneeda Gounder says the Jetsetters are aware of the threat the Stallions can pose on game day.

Nadi will be without the services of national under 20 reps Antonio Tuivuna, Matiasi Toma and Altaf Saheb.

Defender Ilimo Tamajese will also miss the opening match of the tournament for copping a red card in the team’s last match in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League against Rewa last month.

Nadi takes on Nadroga at 2pm at Govind Park this Sunday while at 4pm, hosts Ba takes on Lautoka.

On the same day at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park, Labasa plays Tailevu Naitasiri at 2pm while Rewa and Suva battle at 4pm.
