NRL superstar Jarryd Hayne is sensationally quitting the Parramatta Eels to join the NFL, revealing it been a dream of his.

As reported by news.com, The Eels made the major announcement at 11am today.

Hayne will also withdraw from Australia’s Four Nations squad.

According to The Daily Telegraph, which broke the story, the Eels were only informed of his decision last night.

Last month, Hayne travelled to the US for a meeting with Super Bowl champions the Seattle Seahawks.

Hayne has accepted a conditional release from his NRL contract with Parramatta but has agreed a lifetime deal with the club so that, should he return, it will be to the Eels.
