Eels star Jarryd Hayne could receive a lifeline from the Wests Tigers for the 2019 NRL season.

Zero Tackle reports, Hayne continues to sweat on his playing career at Parramatta after not receiving a new contract for 2019 and beyond, with his options becoming limited every passing day.

At 30 years of age, Hayne has come to terms with possibly departing the Eels after what has been a frustrating battle to earn a contract extension.

Parramatta return to pre-season training tomorrow, but given Hayne is yet to agree to a new deal with the club, he will not be partaking in the session.

Tigers chief executive officer Justin Pascoe has left the door slightly open for Hayne stating the club as the salary cap space to fit the star.
