Vodafone Flying Fijians rugby captain Vereniki Goneva says the senior players around him have made his task easier ahead of the Pacific Nations match against Tonga tomorrow.

The two Pacific Islands rivals meet at the ANZ Stadium in Suva, with Goneva leading the side in the absence of regular skipper, Akapusi Qera, who is injured.

He says it’s an honor to lead the national side, which will be playing its last home international before the World Cup.

“Yeah for me there is nothing much to say for the boys because all the boys they know what the game holds tomorrow. Most of the experienced players such as Sunia Koto and Dominiko Waqaniburtou and others in the team, they know what to do and they make the job easy for me for tomorrow.”

The match starts at 3pma and you can catch a live commentary of the game on BULA FM with the voice of rugby, Graham Eden.
