Gamel signs another four years with Fiji FA

Vodafone Fiji Football coach Christophe Gamel has signed another four years contract with the Fiji Football Association.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf says Gamel has done so many sacrifices in the development of football in the country, especially in the national team.

“You will see him all around the place in the next four years. We have made the contract very flexible because he’s got a family in France and we will release him to visit them and all that. Ha has sacrificed a lot and he loves the Fijians and would like to stay with the Fijians.”

Coach Christophe Gamel says his plans for the growth of football in the country is going accordingly.

“We’re creating a new era in football based on soccer position and orientated for the youth. We have to perform as much as we do and as much we can with all our means. We’re still I the process of 2026 World Cup and creating good discipline.”

Meanwhile, Gamel will be scouting players in the Vodafone Fiji FACT that’s currently underway at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori to join the national team in their international match against Malaysia on the 5th of next month.
