The Suva Golden Oldies Rugby Club will host a tens tournament to raise funds to provide awareness on Prostrate Cancer.
Club President Simon Mason says they are working together with the Ministry of Health and will provide clinic on the day where men can come forward and be tested on the disease.
“Those who cannot afford the test and each test cost $17.50 to $21, so the club pitches in to provide the cost for that. Men don’t have to worry about the cost of the test and all we recommend is you rock up and get tested.”
Mason adds they are in the process of finalizing the teams.
Beiersdorf who is a German personal-care company who supplies Nivea product came on board and donated $3,000 to support the move.
The Suva Oldies 10s will be held on the 24th of next month at the Sacred Heart College ground in Nasese.
