FRU to host national trials for women's team

The Fiji Rugby Union will hold a trial next week to select a national women’s 15s team to tour Australia.

The women’s side, coached by former Flying Fijians skipper Alifereti Doviverata, will play the Brumbies and Newcastle next month.

FRU Chief Executive, John O’Connor says, June will be a very busy month for the men’s and women’s rugby teams.

“The womens team will be having the trial next week and we also have the Warriors preparing to travel to Uruguay so it’s quite a hectic month apart from the Fiji 7s team travelling to the London and Paris tournaments.”

The trial for the women’s team will he held on Tuesday at Bidesi Park, Suva.
