Fiji Rugby Union has praised the performance of the Fiji Airways Drua team in the National Rugby Championship this season.

FRU Chief Executive, John O’Connor says the Drua team has been impressive throughout the championship and should give their best shot in the final against the Queensland Country this weekend.

He says the Drua players have set a platform for themselves.

“We have seen it as a pathway for the players as they embark on their professional lives. It’s a big opportunity to prove themselves and get contracts.”

The Drua takes on the Country at 3.30pm at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Saturday.
