The Fiji Rugby Union is pleased with the performance of the Vodafone Fiji 7s side over the World Seven Series.

FRU CEO Radrodro Tabualevu says the team has performed well over the past seven legs this season and is expecting a tight finish in the final two tournaments in Glasgow and London next month.

“That is the objective, this year and next year. As you know we are gunning for the number one spot in the series so that we can have an easier path to the Olympic Games."

The Vodafone Fiji 7s side arrives into the country this morning from the Asian leg, having won the Hong Kong 7s title and finishing in third spot in the Tokyo 7s tournament.
