FRU plans to add more teams to Tens competition

The Fiji Rugby Union has plans to expand the number of teams to compete at next year’s Skipper Cup FRU Provincial Tens.

Chief Executive John O’Connor says after a successful first tournament over the weekend, they are now trying to make the tournament bigger and better.

“This is an inaugural tournament and next year we’re hoping to have a bigger tournament involving all teams participating in the Skipper Cup and Vodafone Championship and we’ll hope to make it bigger."

Meanwhile, the FRU will name 26 players for the Brisbane Tens in Australia next month.

The FRU will now include the Skipper Tuna Provincial Tens tournament in its annual calendar.
