FRU calls for support

Fiji Rugby Union is calling on the supporters to come in numbers when the Fiji Airways Drua takes on Canberra Vikings in the National Rugby Championship semifinal this weekend.

FRU Chief Executive, John O’Connor, says the Drua has had a great season and need fans support to reach its first ever NRC final.

“I think having a home semifinal suits us and it’s an opportune time for us the supporters to come down to cheer on the boys.”

The Drua takes on the Vikings at 4pm at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Saturday.

Fiji Rugby Union is calling on the fans to turn out in numbers to support their provincial teams in the Skipper Cup semi-finals today.

FRU Chief Executive John O’Connor says its two interesting matches which the fans will hardly get to witness.

_ “The match against Namosi and Naitasiri at is based on two neighboring and related vanua’s and based on watching games in the early rounds they are two well supported teams so we expect a huge crowd at Ratu Cakobau Park and likewise at Lawaqa Park.”_

In the Skipper Cup semi-final the Naitasiri-Namosi match kicks off at 3pm at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park and you can catch a live commentary on BULA FM.

At 3pm at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park, Suva plays Nadroga and you can catch a live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji One.
