Four teams confirmed for next round of World Cup

The first two games of the last 16 round in the FIFA World Cup have been confirmed.

Group A pool leaders Uruguay plays Portugal on 1st of July at 6am while Spain which topped group B plays Russia on the following day at 2am.

Spain progressed to the next round after finishing its last pool match 2-all against Morocco.

Iago Aspas scored the equaliser in the 91st minute of the game which saw Spain top the group.

In the other match earlier, Portugal was lucky to escape a firing Iranian side as the game finished one-all.

Portugal’s Ricardo Quaresma scored for the side while Karim Ansarifard got the equaliser from a spot kick.

In the two matches earlier, Uruguay thumped Russia 3-nil while Saudi Arabia defeated Egypt 2-1.

Meanwhile, in the matches tomorrow, at 2pm, Australia plays Peru and Denmark faces France while at 6am, Nigeria meets Argentina and Iceland battles it out against Croatia.
