Four lifters attend week long camp in Noumea

Weightlifting Fiji coach Joe Vueti and four lifters are attending a week long training camp in New Caledonia.

The four lifters are Apolonia Vaivai, Manueli Tulo, Poama Qaqa and Taniela Rainibogi.

Weightlifting Fiji’s secretary, Christopher Yee says, it’s a timely boost to team Fiji preparing for the Commonwealth Games in Gold Cost, Australia.

“This four weightlifters will be among other gold medalists from the Vanuatu Mini Games where they will compete and train together at the institute in Noumea and this is actually being paid up the International Weightlifting Federation.”

The four lifters will be training with Eileen Cikamatana at the Weightlifting Institute, under the guidance of Paul Coffa in Noumea.
