Four boxers given the green light to fight in Australia and New Zealand

The Boxing Commission of Fiji have given clearance to four out of seven invited professional boxers to fight in Australia and New Zealand respectively.

The three are yet to be confirmed by the overseas Promoters.

Boxing Commission Chair Bulutani Mataitawakilai says the big numbers is an indication of the work done by local promoters and stakeholders in organizing local boxing promotions almost every month.

Mataitawakilai says the learning and experience will be of great value to professional boxing in Fiji.

_ “We expect more invites in the coming months and the onus is for local boxers to step up with their attitude and approach, trainers to step up with the way and approach in training and preparing boxers to meet the overseas standards. So far we have received interest from as far as China and the UK.”_

Meanwhile, the next local promotion is Best Boxing Promotion at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on the 20th of this month.
