The presence of former sevens reps within the Vodafone Flying Fijians side for the Pacific Nations Cup match against Tonga tomorrow, should bring an exciting brand of rugby to the match.
The likes of skipper Vereniki Goneva, Leone Nakarawa, Masi Matadigo, Henry Seniloli, Waisea Nayacalevu and Levani Botia, are all former sevens internationals.
On the reserve bench are Nikola Matawalu and Metuisela Talebula, who have also played for the sevens team.
However, coach John McKee, says it will all depend on the quality balls provided to his speed merchant.
“Look I think we have to do the hard work upfront first and we know it will be very physical encounter against the Tongans and the will look to really make it a hard contest. I would hope we can control our set ball and win some phase play ball so that we can use our speed out wide.”
