Former Fiji 7s rep, Eroni Ravaga-Gaunavou has gone missing at sea off the Tararua coast in the lower North Island of New Zealand.

Helicopter searches for Gaunavou have failed as strong rips and swells have also hindered the New Zealand Police Dive squad from pursuing.

Gaunavou, who hails from Labasa arrived in New Zealand on a visitor’s permit in February to play rugby for Puketoi Rugby Club.
