Former France and Manchester United player Mikaël Silvestre has been enjoying his stay in the country following his arrival yesterday.

The two time FIFA World Cup representative took time out today to visit schools in the Western Division and also shared his experience of playing top level football for more than 10 years.

Speaking to students at Lautoka Central College today, Silvestre shared an important motivating factor for him over the years and that was to always have fun.

“If you don’t have fun in what you do you won’t give it your best so try to find the element of fun in any activity in school, sports or anything you do.”

Silvestre who has played with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Thierry Henry and Zinedine Zidane reminded the students that motivating themselves is important in achieving anything in life.

The five times English Premier League winner will be the Chief Guest at the Fiji FA Awards night on Saturday at Sofitel in Nadi.

Meanwhile, Silvestre also visited Lautoka Muslim School earlier today and met fans at the Vodafone Outlet at Tappoo City.
