The Suva football side is waiting for the release of Labasa striker Vilitati Kautoga who is expected to join the side this season.
The capital city side remains positive that the Fiji Football Association will release Kautoga despite him playing for the Babasiga Lions against Ba in the Vodafone Premier League last Saturday.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf says that Kautoga is eligible to move because he has applied for a release in the window transfer period.
It’s understood when a player applies for release to join a new club but still play for his current club, his application is automatically withdrawn.
Yusuf says the Fiji FA will make a decision on Kautoga today.
Meanwhile, Lautoka football has suspended its goalkeeper Senirusi Bokini after he failed to march into camp for the VPL match against Suva last weekend.
Bokini is set to appear before Lautoka football executive board this week.
In this weekend’s VPL matches, Labasa plays Rewa at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park on Sunday at 3pm.
In other matches at the same time, Tavua hosts Suva at Garvey Park, Nadi battles Ba at Prince Charles Park,
You can catch the live commentary of the Rewa -Labasa match on radio Fiji TWO.
